Frost Prevention by Ryan Navion

Been working on a Navion presentation for my local EAA Chapter and came across an article in the 1949 edition of The Aircraft Year Book. The article describes the process of "wheat buzzing" which involved flying low, flaps down to generate downwash over the fields to prevent and remove moisture on the crop. The book claims it was effective, but I'm suspicious that it may have been more about the fun the pilot got to have.
